The cherry on the cake, though, is Jim Shaffer’s. A beautiful bit of bad luck noir about a man who looks after a graveyard and his wayward marriage. Great sense of time and place, beautiful characterization, and a sad but satisfying ending. An enjoyable read.
A fun collection of bad luck stories. The mad ones are by Jesse Rawlins and Mick Rose. Proper, off-their-heads entertainment. Paul D. Brazill is always entertaining. Really enjoyed Andrew Rausch’s contribution about a male predator whose prey isn’t as “oh my” as he suspected.

Mark Slade and Chauncey Haworth with Lothar Tuppan have done it again. A new short story collection with stories by these three and others. A great collection.
